Job Overview:
We are seeking a highly skilled, experienced, friendly, and dedicated Dental Assistant to join our established team. As a Team member of Sierk Children's Dentistry, you will play a crucial role in providing quality dental care to our patients in our Castle Pines and Highlands Ranch locations; while building long lasting relationships with team members, parents and referring practices. Your primary responsibilities will include assisting the dentist during procedures, and creating positive dental experiences for our pediatric clientele.
We offer general anesthesia in office, and off site at CHCO. You will be required to meet CHCO onboarding criteria to be considered for hire. Must pass background check and drug test.
Duties:
- Assist the dentist during generalized pediatric dental procedures, including general anesthesia, laser treatment, orthodontics, and oral surgery.
- Prepare treatment rooms by sterilizing instruments and ensuring all necessary supplies are available
- Take quality digital dental x-rays
- Prepare materials for restorations
- Provide chair-side assistance to dentist during procedures
- Educate patients/parents on oral hygiene practices and post-treatment care
- Maintain accurate patient records and update medical histories
- Perform basic laboratory tasks, such as pouring models
- Clean and maintain dental equipment and treatment areas
- Represent our practice in a positive manner
Experience:
- Previous experience as a Dental Assistant (5 years) is preferred. All applicants will be considered and paid upon experience.
- Knowledge of dental anatomy, and terminology
- Proficiency in patient assessment, including taking vital signs
-Working knowledge of EagleSoft is a plus
- Experience working with pediatric patients in a clinical setting is highly desirable
- Proficient understanding of dental coding, procedures, instruments, and materials is essential to be considered for this position

- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Ability to multitask and work efficiently in a caring environment
- Compassionate and caring attitude towards patients with all needs, parents, and team members
- Team player with the ability to collaborate effectively with the dental team
- Willingness to learn basic dental administrative duties. This is the perfect opportunity to an assistant wanting to add front office experience
